What is Standard mode?
Standard mode sends your image to our server for conversion. The file expires after 30 minutes and cleanup removes it shortly afterward. Privacy mode keeps it on your device.
What is Privacy mode?
Privacy mode converts your image entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, but output quality and format support may be more limited.
Will converting to WebP reduce quality?
Not necessarily. WebP uses more efficient compression than JPEG. At the same visual quality, a WebP file is typically 25–35% smaller than JPEG.
What happens to transparency when converting to JPEG?
JPEG does not support transparency. Any transparent areas will be filled with white. Use PNG or WebP if you need to preserve transparency.
Does the conversion change image dimensions?
No. The output image maintains the exact same width and height as the original. Use our Image Resizer if you need to change dimensions.
