How does Standard mode work?

Your image is sent to our server, where sharp/mozjpeg compresses it. The file expires after 30 minutes and cleanup removes it shortly afterward.

How does Privacy mode work?

Privacy mode processes your image entirely in your browser using HTML5 Canvas. Nothing is uploaded. Quality may be slightly lower than Standard mode.

Why is my compressed image slightly over 100KB?

Some images have a minimum achievable size based on their dimensions and content complexity. If the compressor cannot reach the target without making the image unusable, it returns the best possible result. Try reducing dimensions first with our Image Resizer.

What image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, and WebP. The output format is determined by your selected destination profile or defaults to JPEG.
